Silverdale Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Notre Dame recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Seahawks will be playing at home against the Fighting Irish at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Silverdale Academy's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Notre Dame has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Silverdale Academy gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Rhea County 6-4.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame didn't have quite enough to beat Chattanooga Christian on Friday and fell 7-6.

Cooper Jones put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jake Wagner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Silverdale Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Silverdale Academy beat Notre Dame 8-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Do the Seahawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
