Basketball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings

The R.J. Reynolds Demons and the Northwest Guilford Vikings will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.

On Tuesday, R.J. Reynolds came up short against East Forsyth and fell 54-42. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Eagles are ranked 91st).

Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford didn't have too much trouble with Page on Tuesday as they won 55-40.

R.J. Reynolds has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Northwest Guilford, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.

R.J. Reynolds beat Northwest Guilford 46-37 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will R.J. Reynolds repeat their success, or does Northwest Guilford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
