Basketball Recap: Columbian Triumphs

Columbian posted their closest victory since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 win over the Clyde Fliers. This was a revenge game for the Tornadoes: when they faced off against the Fliers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 72-56 defeat.

Despite the loss, Clyde still got an impressive performance from Brayden Olson, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Brennan Wilson was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Columbian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Clyde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Columbian will venture away from home to face off against Perkins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clyde, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 91-63 win against Fostoria on the 18th.
