Baseball Recap: Aberdeen Gets the Win

Aberdeen was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Hockinson Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Mason Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aberdeen let Sam Schreiber and Aidan Baker run wild. Schreiber went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Baker went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that Schreiber has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Matthews, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Aberdeen's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Hockinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.

As of now, neither Aberdeen nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
