Baseball Recap: Butler Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Butler's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Garinger Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jackson Clark looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Amir Carter was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Sheaffer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Butler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Butler pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Garinger: the pair will be back at it again later today.
