Baseball Recap: Friends Select's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Friends Select lost against Abington Friends back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons fell 7-4 to Abington Friends. The loss put an end to the Falcons' undefeated start to the season.

Sam Emerick was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Miles Lesser, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Friends Select fell to 2-1. As for Abington Friends, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Friends Select will host Germantown Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Germantown Friends has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.25 runs per game on average), something Friends Select will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Abington Friends, they will take on Solebury at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
