Volleyball Recap: Aucilla Christian Takes a Loss

Aucilla Christian lost against Branford back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Buccaneers. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-20.

Aucilla Christian's offense was headlined by Avery Emerick and Cynthia Upshaw, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Molly McNeill and her 15 assists. Sophie Ashworth controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Branford found their leader in sophomore Ava Alcorn, who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Alcorn.

Aucilla Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Branford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Aucilla Christian will challenge Countryside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Branford, they will take on Trenton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
