Baseball Game Preview: Warren Dragons vs. Harbor Creek Huskies

Warren is 1-9 against Harbor Creek since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dragons will host the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. Warren will be strutting in after a victory while Harbor Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

Warren took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Meadville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 4-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Dragons as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Eli Snyder, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Harbor Creek came up short against McDowell on Thursday, falling 12-4. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Huskies, who until this matchup were averaging 3.9 runs allowed.

JASON DOLAK made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of BRADY POWERS, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Warren's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Harbor Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Warren's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's game. The Dragons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Harbor Creek, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Warren continue to outrun the ball?

Warren suffered a grim 9-1 defeat to Harbor Creek in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
