Basketball Recap: Seminole County Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Seminole County won the last time they faced Cairo and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seminole County Indians managed a 44-38 victory over the Cairo Syrupmakers. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Syrupmakers are ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Zyi'Kiera King, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Equeasha Daniels, who posted ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Cairo lost, don't look at Shaquara Mills. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. Mills has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Danyel Sparrow was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and three steals.

Seminole County pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Cairo, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Seminole County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-32 victory against Miller County on the 17th. Cairo has also already played their next match, a 48-28 defeat against Westover on the 17th.
