Volleyball Recap: Omaha Central Comes Up Short

Omaha Central was the 2-0 winner over Benson when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Bunnies by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Phalen Dahlke paced Omaha Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Dahlke got some help from Eliza Stockmann and her 17 assists. Aibreann Conn controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Among those leading the charge was Sumeeda Rai, who had ten digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Omaha Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Benson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-21.

Omaha Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Omaha North on the 18th. As for Benson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Omaha Northwest on the 18th.
