It was a proper cat-fight when Central York duked it out with William Penn last Friday. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bearcats 56-14. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central York to victory, but perhaps none more so than Legend Johnson, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Johnson's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Brendyn Smith was another key receiver, picking up 131 receiving yards and three TDs.

Central York didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cullen Gardner and Ali ?Deuce? Johnson Jr.. Johnson Jr. got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cedar Cliff, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over Cedar Crest. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Colts had established a 22-point advantage.

The critical scores for Cedar Cliff came from Isaiah Jones, Blake Secrest, Tywuan Byrd, Owen Anastasi, and Amarion Autry.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cedar Cliff's defense and their nine sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Secrest and Will Kocher, who racked up seven sacks between them. Kocher has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 17 times he's played.

Central York's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cedar Cliff, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Central York has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cedar Cliff struggles in that department as they've been averaging 172.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
