Volleyball Recap: Lilly Lemesany's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Haxtun over Highland

Haxtun and Highland squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Haxtun had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Fightin' Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Fightin' Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lilly Lemesany, who had 21 digs. Lemesany is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Koberstein, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Haxtun's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Highland, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Haxtun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sanford on the 8th.
