Basketball Recap: University Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

University proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 26) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Chaparral Bobcats 58-55. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bobcats are ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Chaparral, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will head out to face off against Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Chaparral, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chaparral Bobcats take on the Waco Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
