Football Game Preview: Maroa-Forsyth Trojans vs. Wilmington Wildcats + How To Watch

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans will take on the Wilmington Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Maroa-Forsyth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 28-6 margin over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Ryne Sheppard was his usual excellent self, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 215 yards and one TD. Cayden Birmingham was Sheppard's top target, picking up 141 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, while Wilmington put up plenty of points on Saturday, the same can't be said for El Paso-Gridley. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 41-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wildcats just coasted through the last quarter.

Maroa-Forsyth's record is now 11-2. As for Wilmington, their record now sits at 12-1.

Maroa-Forsyth was taken down by Wilmington 42-7 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
