Football Game Preview: Lumberton Pirates vs. Terry Sanford Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Lumberton Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Terry Sanford Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lumberton will be strutting in after a win while Terry Sanford will be coming in after a defeat.

Lumberton will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Gray's Creek, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Pirates enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over the Bears on Friday.

Meanwhile, Terry Sanford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 33-27 to Scotland. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Fighting Scots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Lumberton will have to contain Jacob Moore as he made an impact in Terry Sanford's last game. He rushed for 106 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 245 yards while completing 73.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Washington, who rushed for 100 yards and one score.

The win got Lumberton back to even at 3-3. As for Terry Sanford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Lumberton was dealt a bruising 45-0 defeat at the hands of Terry Sanford when the teams last played back in August of 2019. Thankfully for the Pirates, Dorian Clark (who rushed for 118 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
