Basketball Recap: Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Starts Season with Win Against Warwick

Drayton/Valley-Edinburg had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Warwick Warriors 66-5 on Tuesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-3.

Brooke Gullickson was the offensive standout of the game as she posted 20 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Jacey Nelson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Drayton/Valley-Edinburg will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Cavalier at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Warwick, they will welcome Midway/Minto at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
