Football Game Preview: St. Mary's Crusaders vs. Lost River Raiders

The St. Mary's Crusaders will challenge the Lost River Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's has given up an average of 38.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Mary's is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points last Saturday, they were much more limited against Culver on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 54-12 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Lost River came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Antlers, posting a 46-6 victory. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Antlers are ranked 50th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lost River, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for St. Mary's against Lost River when the teams last played back in September of 2019, as the team secured a 55-0 victory. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
