Football Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They were dealt a 48-0 defeat at the hands of the Blessed Trinity Titans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Titans are ranked 42nd).

Aj Hatton threw for 47 yards on nine of 16 attempts. Junior Howard was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacobi Scoitt rushed for 50 yards.

Blessed Trinity got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ahmontae Pitts out in front who rushed for 71 yards and two scores, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. The Titans are undefeated when Pitts posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Quinn Davis was in the mix as well, providing Blessed Trinity with two TDs.

Centennial is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Blessed Trinity, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-10 win against Westminster on the 31st. As for Blessed Trinity, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 31-28 loss against Cambridge on the 31st.
