Lawrence Free State is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Olathe Northwest by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Lawrence Free State have struggled against Olathe Northwest recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

One reason for the loss might be Shawnee Heights' aggressive play style: three Shawnee Heights players were handed yellow cards.
