Fort Edward had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Warrensburg Burgers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 1st.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.
Gabrielle Durkee paced Fort Edward's offense, picking up 11 kills. Durkee got some help from Kyley Varney and her 23 assists. Addison Chester controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
When it comes to explaining why Warrensburg lost, don't look at Riley Huck. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs. Huck has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more digs the last 16 times she's played. Fort Edward's win bumped their record up to 21-2-1. As for Warrensburg, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.
