Football Recap: Shallowater Piles Up the Points Against River Road + How To Watch

Shallowater entered their tilt with River Road on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 56-0 win over the Wildcats. That 56 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

A big part of Shallowater's victory came down to the chemistry between Cooper Martin and his top target Easton Foster. Martin threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes while Foster gained 104 total yards and two touchdowns. Foster was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 65 yards.

Shallowater's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for River Road, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Shallowater will venture away from home to square off against Dalhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups. As for River Road, they will be playing at home against Bushland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
