Volleyball Recap: Tessa Ketterling's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lockwood over Hardin

Lockwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Hardin Bulldogs. The LIONS were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

While Lockwood ultimately came up short, they really made Hardin work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 16-25, 26-24, 25-21.

Several LIONS players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tessa Ketterling, who had 18 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, Ketterling is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.

Lockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Hardin, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-11-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lockwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Park at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hardin will face off against rival Laurel at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
