Jackson-Reed came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Sidwell Friends Quakers 7-5. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Quakers, too.

Simon Corbin looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Freeman Hunt, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Jackson-Reed's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
