Winfield's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Point Pleasant on Friday. Winfield had just enough and edged out the Ripley Vikings 5-3. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ean Cox was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Brayson Downey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Winfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ripley, their record now sits at 0-2.

Coming up, Winfield will host Poca at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ripley, they will square off against Cabell Midland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
