Basketball Recap: Powder Valley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Powder Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-38 victory over the Wallowa Cougars. Given the Badgers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Cougars are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Powder Valley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points over those games. As for Wallowa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Powder Valley nor Wallowa have any future games scheduled.
