Volleyball Game Preview: Strom Thurmond Rebels vs. Chester Cyclones

The Strom Thurmond Rebels are taking a road trip to take on the Chester Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Strom Thurmond had taken Batesburg-Leesville down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Rebels came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Strom Thurmond was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Chester came up short against Riverwalk Academy on Monday and fell 3-1.

While Chester ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-27, 25-22, 25-23.

Strom Thurmond's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
