Volleyball Recap: Lincolnview Comes Up Short

Lincolnview saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Coldwater Cavaliers. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lincolnview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Ila Hughes paced Lincolnview's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hughes got some help from Makynlee Dickinson and her 32 assists. Dickinson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Beth Hughes, each putting up two.

Lincolnview's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Coldwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Lincolnview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coldwater, they will welcome Parkway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
