Basketball Game Preview: Gulliver Prep Raiders vs. Mater Bay Academy Rays

Two dominant guards in Champ Smith and Alexander Guererro are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Gulliver Prep Raiders will be playing at home against the Mater Bay Academy Rays at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Gulliver Prep has given up an average of 63.5 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Gulliver Prep had to suffer through a 64-31 loss at the hands of NSU University.

Despite the defeat, Gulliver Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Smith posted 11 points and three steals. Wynn Allen also put up a block, which was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mater Bay Academy ended up a good deal behind Gulf Coast on Friday and lost 63-49. The Rays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gulliver Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mater Bay Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
