Football Recap: Port Edwards Blackhawks vs. Tri-County Penguins
Port Edwards had taken Tri-County down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Blackhawks were outmatched by the Penguins and fell 58-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blackhawks have suffered against the Penguins since September 9, 2016.
Jake Makaryk had an outrageously good game for Tri-County as he rushed for 249 yards and two TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 110 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 249 rushing yards gave Makaryk a new career-high.
Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tri-County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
