Volleyball Game Preview: McDermitt Bulldogs vs. Lund Mustangs

The McDermitt Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Lund Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, McDermitt turned things around against Pyramid Lake last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lakers.

McDermitt never let Pyramid Lake on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Lund hadn't done well against Eureka recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs blew past the Vandals 3-0.

Lund's got stronger as the match went on, holding Eureka to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-11.

McDermitt's record is now 2-4. As for Lund, their record now sits at 16-9.

McDermitt suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lund when the teams last played back in September. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
