Baseball Recap: Stafford Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bolton, Stafford was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the East Windsor Panthers 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in April.

Landon Tozier was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Stafford's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't). Tyler Murray was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Stafford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

The win got Stafford back to even at 7-7. As for East Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coming up, Stafford will be playing in front of their home fans against Coginchaug Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Windsor, they are taking a road trip to take on Windham at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
