Basketball Recap: Penquis Valley's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mattanawcook, Penquis Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 48-42 win over the Piscataquis Pirates. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Penquis Valley's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Piscataquis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penquis Valley will face off against Greenville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Piscataquis, they will square off against Searsport at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
