It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Seward can now relate to. They took a 30-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waverly Vikings on Friday. The Bluejays' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Seward lost, don't look at Kayson Salyer. Despite the final result, he rushed for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 163 yards and one TD.

It was another big night for Nathan Axmann, who rushed for 229 yards and three scores for Waverly. That's the most rushing yards Axmann has posted since back in August.

Seward's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Waverly, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Seward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waverly, they will square off against Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Vikings' offense will have their work cut out for them.
