Soccer Recap: Oconomowoc Comes Up Short

Oconomowoc entered their matchup against Watertown on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Raccoons fell just short of the Goslings by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Oconomowoc of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Oconomowoc's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-2. As for Watertown, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Oconomowoc and Watertown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Raccoons will take on Arrowhead at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (78 vs. 1). Meanwhile, Watertown (ranked 91st) will meet DeForest (ranked second) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
