Basketball Recap: Canyon Ridge's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Canyon Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 42-34 win over the Twin Falls Bruins. This was a revenge game for the Riverhawks: when they faced off against the Bruins back in December of 2024, they had to take a 61-51 defeat.

Canyon Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Hill out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Hill has been hot recently, having also posted three or more blocks the last three times he's played. Dylan Brown was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Canyon Ridge pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Twin Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Canyon Ridge will head out to face off against Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon Ridge is facing Highland at the right time seeing as Highland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Twin Falls, they will challenge Pocatello at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
