Basketball Preview: York Cougars vs. Columbia Capitals
Having just played yesterday, the York Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Columbia Capitals at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
York took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They took down Broome 58-43. The Cougars pushed the score to 48-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Centurions cut but never quite recovered from.

Peyton Lowery had a dynamite game, shooting 45% from the field on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zan Walling, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Columbia didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Airport on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory. The Capitals haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
York now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Columbia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
