Normal University entered their tilt with Fairfield on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Mules. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mules, too.

Normal University's offense was headlined by Madison Funk and Laney Snow, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Morgan Petelin and her 17 assists.

Normal University's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Fairfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Normal University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against McCracken County on the 12th. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Champaign Central on the 13th.
