Meanwhile, Michigan City earned a 28-21 victory over La Porte on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Slicers: they've now won five in a row.

Merrillville's record is now 9-2. As for Michigan City, their record now sits at 8-3.
