Volleyball Game Preview: Portales Rams vs. Artesia Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Portales Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Artesia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Portales is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Goddard, who was ranked seventh at the time (Portales was ranked 19th). The Rams fell 3-1 to the Rockets on Tuesday. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets 25-21 in the first set.

Portales started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Artesia made easy work of Lovington on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-6.

Portales' loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Portales came up short against Artesia when the teams last played last Tuesday, falling 3-1. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
