Baseball Recap: Bradford Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

Bradford's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tipton Christian Academy Eagles a 14-0 shutout. With that victory, the Red Devils brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Bradford got a massive performance out of Carver Cates, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Cates a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jax Richardson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Bradford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tipton Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .059.

Bradford pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Tipton Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bradford and Tipton Christian Academy will both be playing Gibson County the next time they take the field. Bradford will head out to face Gibson County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Tipton Christian Academy will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
