Basketball Game Preview: San Leandro Pirates vs. Clovis West Golden Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the San Leandro Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Clovis West Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Leandro will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

San Leandro saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They were outmatched by San Joaquin Memorial and fell 92-45.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Clovis West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 67-58 victory over Monterey Trail on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Golden Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

San Leandro better keep an eye on Dj Stickman. He was instrumental in Clovis West's win, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Jace Kellogg was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 16 points.

San Leandro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clovis West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
