Recap: Arbor View Aggies vs. American Fork Cavemen
The Arbor View Aggies and the American Fork Cavemen (ranked 100 and 85 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile matchup. Arbor View fell just short of American Fork by a score of 66-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (62), Arbor View still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Arbor View still got an impressive performance from Pharaoh Compton, who scored 29 points along with 7 rebounds. The contest was Compton's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Maximus Romero was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Arbor View and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for American Fork, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Arbor View will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Las Vegas is ranked 34th, while Arbor View is ranked 30th). As for American Fork, they will take on White at 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
