Gabriel Briones, Cesar Chavez's leader in steals on the season, led the team again on Friday. Briones went 11 for 17 en route to 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The effort marked the most points he has had since back in November of 2024. The game was his 14th in a row with at least 15 points.
