Basketball Recap: South Central Comes Up Short

South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. The Satellites lost against the Bluejays in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-24 score last time.

Defeat or not, South Central got some senior leadership from Samantha Marks and Makenna Welsh. Marks posted 12 points, while Welsh put up nine points.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, South Central will take on New Prairie at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they will challenge Oregon-Davis at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the Bluejays' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
