Football Game Preview: Clarke County Eagles vs. Luray Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Clarke County Eagles will head out to take on the Luray Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clarke County managed to slip by Strasburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles took a blow against the Rams on Friday, falling 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Rams are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Luray fell victim to Central Woodstock and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Falcons 37-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Clarke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Luray, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Clarke County took their win against Luray in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 40-14 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
