Georgetown Day and Bullis squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Georgetown Day had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-10 last Tuesday.

Natalie Ogden was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Georgetown Day saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Hellman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Georgetown Day has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Bullis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
