Canyon del Oro added to the longest winning streak in III Section V this week by beating Higley, 34-31. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Dorados.
Canyon del Oro and the Knights played the most contested game in the league this week, with Canyon del Oro eventually emerging with a 34-31 victory.
5-foot-10 quarterback ISAIAH PEDRO of Maricopa is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,453. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is JJ Metz. The Canyon del Oro star has 23 catches for 722 yards.
In 106 carries Ty Cruz has accumulated 989 yard this year.
Catalina Foothills led the league in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on Catalina Foothills.
