Granger extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They claimed a resounding 58-14 win over the Somerville Yeguas. Considering the Lions have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Somerville, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 952nd, while Granger is ranked 466th).

Although Somerville took the loss, they still got scores from Colt Holton and Andrew Espinoza.

Looking ahead, Granger will head out to challenge Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Somerville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Milano at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yeguas will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
