The Issaquah Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Redmond Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Redmond took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Issaquah, who comes in off a win.
While Issaquah's win against Skyline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Spartans 6-5 on Monday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Shaelyn Erickson (2027) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Riley Baumann (2026), who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted over her last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Giorgia Graham (2027), who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Redmond faced North Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.
Redmond saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Viola, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Issaquah pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Redmond, they moved to 15-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Issaquah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Redmond struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Issaquah beat Redmond 4-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
