Softball Recap: Lewis County Lions vs. East Carter Raiders
Lewis County was the 10-2 winner over East Carter when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Lewis County Lions fell victim to a rough 13-7 loss at the hands of the East Carter Raiders on Monday. Lewis County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Summer Egbert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Kaylen Case was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
On East Carter's side, Payton Rice made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits.
